Hi, I’m Dorothea, the founder and creator of Zarina.
My little treasure, created for women who love fashion and unique pieces, and who know that a little extra touch—whether it’s makeup, hair, or jewelry—can brighten their day.
Just like you probably have, I’ve often experienced buying jewelry from fast-fashion stores only to have it lose its color after just a few wears or leave green marks on my fingers. Instead of looking unique, the pieces often ended up looking cheap, so I didn’t feel like wearing them anymore. At the same time, I couldn’t really find fashionable and unique accessories among higher-end, classic brands that were still reasonably priced.
A few years ago, I discovered my first boutiques in Greece and Spain where I could find unique, sometimes extravagant, gold-plated rings and necklaces that truly reflected the latest trends. However, no matter how much I searched, I could never find anything similar back home in Hungary.
That’s when I started thinking about how I could make these kinds of pieces easily accessible here in Hungary, without having to spend weeks searching or waiting weeks for a little treasure to arrive. Zarina’s style reflects my own taste, as well as that of my amazing friends who are always by my side. (Thanks, girls!)
The collection mainly features statement pieces, but I’ve also made sure to include more subtle, understated jewelry. My goal is to make these pieces truly accessible to women in Hungary—not only in terms of price, but also through fast, convenient delivery.
